Event logistics
Tickets / Programmes
These will be available on the day from the church car park and the two Wednesdays prior to the event (24th June and 1st July) following the morning service.
Walk or drive?
There are eight gardens to visit with a 2.5 mile (one hour) walk between them, with the church in the middle. You do not need to visit all the gardens, but if you want to, you should start at 2pm if you intend to walk. An hour walking, just 10 minutes per garden leaves 40 minutes for your cream tea and plant purchasing! Several of the venues are in King Street and two are in residential cul-de-sacs making driving around them (and parking) potentially challenging, possibly taking up more time than walking. If you plan to drive between gardens, please have care and respect for the neighbouring residents.
Carparking
There will be very limited parking space at Church. Please plan your car parking arrangements carefully. Options on additional parking arrangements will be made available soon.
Toilets
There are no toilet facilities at the individual gardens. Toilet facilities are available at St Cross Church only.
Open Church
The church is open to view garden inspired flower arrangements and see the magnificent Victorian stained glass windows designed by Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, Burne-Jones was a designer associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood's style and worked with William Morris as a founding partner in Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co in the design of decorative arts.
