Well at last.... the news we had all been waiting for! Bishop Peter will induct the Revd Jayne Shepherd to St Cross Knutsford on Wednesday 8th October 2008 at 7.30pm. Jayne is currently Head of Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy Services at St Helens and Knowsley Hospitals NHS Trust. She was ordained Deacon at Lichfield in 1987 and ordained priest at Southwell in 1994. Jayne is really looking forward to joining us at St Cross .... and we are really looking forward to her coming to join us! By the time of Jaynes induction we will have been without a vicar for almost 12 months. It will be good to settle back into having our own vicar again although, we have enjoyed the ministry of those clergy who have helped us out during the vacancy and we owe them a debt of gratitude. Work has begun on the vicarage and once the Diocese have completed their work we can organise working parties for the work that we, the parish are able to do in preparation for Jaynes arrival. We look forward to Jaynes arrival and encourage you to keep her in your prayers as she prepares for her move to Knutsford.
